Tems Headlines First FIFA Club World Cup Final Halftime Show.

Nigerian Grammy-winning star Tems has made history by performing at the inaugural halftime show of the FIFA Club World Cup Final, held on July 13, 2025, at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. This event marks a groundbreaking moment for African representation on a global sporting stage.

Show Highlights:

Tems was one of the three headline acts—alongside J Balvin and Doja Cat—in a show curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay and co‑produced by FIFA and Global Citizen .

She performed her Grammy-winning track “Love Me JeJe” amid a dynamic, multi-genre lineup that also featured a surprise performance by Coldplay and Emmanuel Kelly .

The show lasted about 15 minutes, unfolding on a raised stage above the stands to preserve the pitch .
Tems made history as the first African artist to perform at a FIFA Club World Cup Final halftime show .

Significance:

This performance is a major milestone for Afrobeats and African artists on world stages. It also coincided with a broader vision: supporting the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, aimed at raising $100 million for education initiatives—mirroring the Super Bowl-style entertainment FIFA plans for the 2026 World Cup .

From Tems:

While she hasn’t made a formal announcement post-show, her team shared behind-the-scenes visuals and teased the moment as “history loading” .
