Ghanaian Music Star Gyakie Recognized in Forbes Africa’s 30 Under 30 Class of 2025.

Ghanaian Afro-fusion sensation Jackline Acheampong, popularly known as Gyakie, has been honored with a spot on Forbes Africa’s prestigious 30 Under 30 Class of 2025. This recognition celebrates her remarkable contributions to the African music industry and her influence as a young creative force on the continent.
Gyakie’s inclusion in the 11th edition of Forbes Africa’s annual list underscores her meteoric rise in the music scene. Since her debut in 2019 with the single "Love is Pretty," she has captivated audiences with her unique blend of soul, highlife, and R&B. Her breakout hit "Forever," released in 2020, not only topped charts in Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria but also achieved platinum certification in South Africa, solidifying her status as a continental powerhouse.
Beyond her musical achievements, Gyakie has broken barriers as a young African woman in a predominantly male industry. Her collaborations with international artists like Omah Lay, Davido, and Major League DJz, coupled with her joint deal with Sony Music Entertainment, RCA UK, and Flip The Music, underscore her global appeal. As she prepares to release her debut album “After Midnight” later this year, Gyakie continues to inspire with her dedication, resilience, and commitment to excellence.
In her feature for Forbes Africa, Gyakie emphasized the importance of collaboration in her artistic journey and expressed gratitude for the recognition. She stated, “This acknowledgement by Forbes Africa is a testament to the hard work and dedication I’ve poured into my craft. I hope it inspires other young Africans to pursue their passions relentlessly and fearlessly.”
Gyakie’s recognition not only celebrates her musical achievements but also positions her as a cultural ambassador for Ghana and the broader African continent. Her inspiring success story serves as a beacon for many aspiring artists looking to break into the industry.
