AFRIMA 2025 to be Hosted in Lagos.

The African Union Commission (AUC) and the International Committee of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) have officially announced Lagos, Nigeria, as the host city for the 2025 edition of the prestigious music awards. The event is scheduled to take place from November 25 to 30, 2025.  
Key Dates and Theme
Entry Submissions: Open from May 27 to August 8, 2025.  
Adjudication Process: August 12–19, 2025.  
Nominee Announcement: August 27, 2025.  
Public Voting: Commences on September 1, 2025.  

The theme for AFRIMA 2025 is "Unstoppable Africa," reflecting the continent's dynamic and resilient music industry.  
Why Lagos?
Angela Martins, Director for Social Development, Culture and Sport at the AUC, highlighted Lagos' consistent excellence in hosting major international events. She noted that the city's modern facilities, strong media presence, and vibrant energy make it an ideal location for AFRIMA 2025.  
 Event Highlights
Nominees: Over 1,600 artists from across Africa and the diaspora.  
Delegates and Visitors: More than 60,000 expected to attend.  
Production Crew: Approximately 2,300 professionals involved.  
Global Broadcast: Live coverage on 109 stations across 84 countries, reaching an estimated audience of over 400 million viewers.  

 Submission Details
Artists, producers, songwriters, and other music professionals are encouraged to submit their works via the AFRIMA digital portal at www.afrima.org during the submission window.
