The Fak’ugesi Awards 2025 are now accepting submissions from African creatives pushing the boundaries of digital innovation. Organized by the Fak’ugesi African Digital Innovation Festival, these awards celebrate excellence across various digital disciplines. 
Key Details:
Application Deadline: Before 15 July 2025. 
Eligibility: Open to individuals and companies based in Africa, aged 18 and above. 
Submission Criteria: Projects must be original, completed between 2023 and 2025, and have been publicly showcased. 

Award Categories:
1. Cross-Sector Music: Compositions linked to animation, video games, immersive media, digital art, or design. 

2. Animation: Short films, feature-length animations, title sequences, student projects, teasers, trailers, and animated series. 

3. Video Games: Mobile, desktop, demo, and student games. 

4. Immersive Media (XR/AR): Augmented and virtual reality projects, including student submissions. 

5. Digital Arts: Digital films, photography with digital manipulation, performances incorporating digital elements, and screen-based digital art. 

6. Design: Industrial design, architecture, and fashion.
