South African rapper Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke, popularly known as Shebeshxt, is facing widespread condemnation after a video surfaced showing him wielding a large knife during an altercation at an entertainment venue. In the footage, Shebeshxt is seen unzipping his jacket, pulling out what appears to be a sizable knife, and lunging at another individual. The audio is unclear, but the visual has sparked significant outrage on social media platforms .
This incident adds to Shebeshxt's history of controversial behavior. In 2022, he was charged with attempted murder following an alleged stabbing in Lebowakgomo, Limpopo. Additionally, in April 2023, he faced charges for discharging a firearm after allegedly firing shots in the air at a family home in Ga-Mamaila village .
Public reaction has been swift and severe. Many social media users are calling for his arrest and questioning why he continues to receive bookings despite his violent history. One user commented, "The biggest mistake we made as a country was making this guy famous" .
As of now, there has been no official statement from Shebeshxt or his representatives regarding the latest incident. Law enforcement agencies have not confirmed whether new charges will be filed.
