Nigerian pop sensation Ayra Starr is taking her music to the world. Following the successful release of her highly anticipated sophomore album “The Year I Turned 21,” the Mavin Records star has officially announced her first global headlining tour, set to kick off this July.
Titled the “21 World Tour,” the announcement was made via Ayra’s social media pages with a vibrant poster featuring dates across Africa, Europe, North America, and Asia. The tour will begin in Nairobi, Kenya on July 12, before heading to cities like Lagos, Johannesburg, London, Paris, Toronto, New York, and Tokyo.
The 14-track album, released earlier this month, features standout collaborations with artists such as Giveon, Seyi Vibez, and Anitta, and has already topped charts in Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, and reached the Top 10 on Apple Music Global Albums.
In a press statement, Ayra Starr said:
> “This album is a reflection of who I’ve become and where I’m going. Touring it around the world is a dream come true, and I can’t wait to connect with my fans on every continent.”
With her genre-blending sound rooted in Afropop, R&B, and soul, Ayra has fast become one of the most exciting voices of her generation. Tracks like “Bad Vibes” and “21” have already gone viral on TikTok, and the album has received praise from major outlets including Billboard, NME, and The Guardian.
Fans can expect intimate performances, live band arrangements, and fresh visuals as Ayra brings her new era to life on stage. Tickets for the “21 World Tour” go on sale this Friday via her official website and local ticketing platforms.
