AfroFuture is unlocking a brand-new chapter for African entertainment! Following the massive announcement of Afrobeats superstar ASAKE as the headliner for AfroFuture Festival in Ghana, the pioneering culture brand is now expanding across the continent with a powerful new experience: CURATED BY CULTURE (CBC).
This bold new platform will officially debut in Johannesburg, South Africa, with ASAKE Live on Saturday, 3 January 2026, at The Goldrush Dome.
A New Experience Era for AfroFuture
CURATED BY CULTURE represents AfroFuture’s evolution from a festival to a multi-destination cultural experience. The new series is crafted to highlight the best of African music, artistry, lifestyle, and storytelling—through immersive shows built on creativity, authenticity, and African rhythm.
While AfroFuture Festival in Ghana remains the brand’s global flagship, CURATED BY CULTURE is designed to take the AfroFuture experience directly to fans across the continent, featuring genre-defining and culture-shaping artists.
ASAKE Takes South Africa by Storm
For the first time ever, fans in South Africa will witness ASAKE delivering his electrifying vocals and stage presence live in a show that blends Afrobeats, Amapiano, Fuji-infused street pop, world-class choreography, and stunning visual storytelling.
From chart-topping hits like “Lonely at the Top,” “Amapiano,” “Organise,” and many more, fans can expect a high-energy, beautifully crafted performance celebrating the fusion of Afrobeats and Amapiano—the sound of today’s Africa.
AfroFuture’s Co-Founder and CEO, Abdul Karim Abdullah, emphasized South Africa’s longtime influence on global music and culture, describing Johannesburg as the perfect place to launch CBC with an artist as dynamic as ASAKE.

ASAKE: The Global Wave of African Sound
Born Ahmed Ololade, ASAKE has rapidly become one of Africa’s most influential Afrobeats exports. Known for his Yoruba-infused lyrics, energetic vocals, and genre-blending sound, he entered the scene in 2020 and rose to prominence with hits like “Mr. Money,” “Omo Ope,” and the explosive “Sungba (Remix)” featuring Burna Boy.
With two massively successful albums—“Mr. Money With the Vibe” (2022) and “Work of Art” (2023)—ASAKE’s music continues to dominate charts and global stages.
His upcoming Johannesburg show promises to be one of the biggest ways AfroFuture kicks off 2026.
