In a historic move that highlights the global power of African music, AFRIMIX 2025 has been officially announced as Africa’s first-ever global music festival, and it’s set to take place in Nairobi, Kenya this October.
Branded with the theme “One Sound, One Africa,” AFRIMIX is more than just a festival — it’s a celebration of the continent’s creative power, cultural unity, and international influence. The event will showcase over 50 top-tier artists from across Africa and beyond, bringing together legendary performers, next-gen talent, and major global acts on one stage.
Among the confirmed African headliners are Burna Boy, Diamond Platnumz, Tems, Sarkodie, Yemi Alade, and Sho Madjozi. The festival is also expected to feature international megastars like Drake, Doja Cat, and J Balvin, marking their first performances on African soil.
AFRIMIX will span three days of music, art, and cultural experiences, including:
Live performances across multiple stages
DJ sets from the continent’s hottest producers
A marketplace featuring African streetwear brands, food, and crafts
Masterclasses and panels with music industry professionals
According to the organizers, the festival aims to "bridge continents and amplify African voices on a global scale." AFRIMIX is expected to draw thousands of fans from across Africa, the diaspora, and beyond.
Tickets are set to go on sale this June, with early-bird packages offering access to all stages and exclusive experiences. Travel partners and tourism boards across East Africa are already preparing for an influx of international guests.
This moment marks a new era for African music festivals — one rooted in authenticity, driven by creativity, and powered by global collaboration.
